as springy as it gets

Hi there!

So today I became enraged! I looked at the average temperature (I will never do this again), and it told me that we are usually 10 degrees warmer than we were today! Why?!! I know there is some answer about a cold front from Canada or something, blah, blah, blah . . . Each morning I stare longingly at the lovely floral skirts and sandals still tucked in my closet. Today I considered boots and winter coat, but I chose to wear bare legs and deal with the wintery mix and hail we experienced on the playground.

On a positive note, I did have an excuse to visit Bella Umbrella and buy a new umbrella! There is always a silver lining!

I bought these shoes on clearance at DSW this weekend. I love their shining wingtips and the fact that they don't have laces.

Still Looking

Hi Friends!

I hope everyone had a lovely and restful weekend! This weekend was a busy with family and friends! I am still going to post cookie recipe, but probably not until tomorrow. Between the busy weekend and an injured pup, my thoughts have been elsewhere!

I finally found a sailor-esque top that meets most of my standards, and it was only $13! Such a score. I am still pining for an authentic, wool, French sailing shirt, but this will do for now. I have also been pining for the Lanvin shoes in my "Wishlist." There is no way I am going to spend the $600 dollars for those beauties, but I am going to create my own version. More on those soon! But these little Steve Madden flats are going to be part of the project.

Meadow: Love at First Shop

Hi friends!

I want to share with you a wonderful shop, Meadow,(address at bottom of the post) I semi stumbled upon this past weekend! Long story long, I was complimenting Whitney's coworker, Emily, on her sassy lightening bolt earrings. She mentioned that she got them at this little shop with great prices and super cute stuff but couldn't recall the name. I made finding it half of my Sunday mission.

Seek and you shall find! I am in love! You gaze through the windows at an quaint Anthropologie-esque set up and are just sure the prices will be Anthropologie-esque as well. You are wrong! The prices are more than reasonable, Jackets for around $50, tops for $30, jewelry starting at $7!! Don't worry you won't be sacrificing style or quality! I was so impressed! I spent way too long in chatting with the owner, Shelley and her aunt who was bringing her trinkets to sell from Paris.

I purchased a few pieces and will surely be back for more!

Sweet Shirt from Meadow

Hi friends!

I picked up this little shirt at Meadow last weekend. I love it's springy color and embellished neckline! I think it will be a nice addition to my warm weather wardrobe.

In other news . . . For some reason when the weather is warm and sunny, I want to go shopping. I had a craving to thrift this afternoon. I try not to do my thrifting in the nicer neighborhoods of Seattle; I much prefer the selection and prices of southern part of the city. I did find some good deals and picked up some pieces that I have been wishing I had and stumbled on some other treasure like a vintage DvF safari blouse. Love!

Tomorrow I will be revealing the semi-super-secret cookie recipe given to me by my late Uncle Doug. So tasty!

Hi friends!

Happy Wednesday!
I can't believe it will be April tomorrow! I should be wearing sunny yellows, rosy pinks, and open toed shoes. I guess I am wearing open toed shoes, but blue, black, and grey are the colors of the day. I hope everyone has a happy hump day!
