31 Bits

Hello Friends!

I want to share another amazing group of people with you all! This group is called 31 Bits. Have you heard of them? They are amazing, and I am sure you will start hearing more about them as they have just partnered with Reef to make some adorable sandals. Although, they are working with a shoe company, they actually make jewelry!

 Like the amazing guys from Krochet Kids (last week's "Fashion for a Cause"), they operate out of Northern Uganda, a region with far too many refugees living in the throws of poverty. These spirited girls have figured out a way to take unwanted paper and make it into beautiful beads. Amazing!

Here's an excerpt from their website. "31 Bits is centered around using the creative art and entrepreneurship already present in the women. Our goal is to help get them out of poverty, provide consistent schooling for their children, and proper nutrition and healthcare for the entire family.  All of our products are bought directly from the women, are fair trade, are made from recycled paper, and are sold in boutiques across the United States."
